Who We Are

A message from Pastor Phil Kruis:

Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website.
Let me tell you about our church.

As the pastor of Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church, I believe we have been blessed by God to be an integral part of what He is doing in Tucson and in northeast Tucson in particular. We purpose to have a strong ministry of the proclamation of the Word of God as it is faithfully preached each Sunday morning; a quality ministry of education as we clearly teach the truths of God’s word to those every age; and an intimate ministry of fellowship as we gather in each other’s homes throughout the week for Bible study, prayer and breaking of bread.

We trust that the rest of the website will be helpful to you. If it does not answer all of your questions, please do not hesitate to call the church office at 327-2390.

We also invite you to join us for worship on Sunday. We have Sunday School at 9:30 a.m., worship at 10:45 a.m., and our evening service at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.

Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church is Evangelical, Reformed, and Presbyterian.

By Evangelical, we mean that we emphasize the gospel (good news of salvation) through faith in Jesus Christ, as well as affirming other orthodox Christian doctrines and holding to the inerrancy of Scripture.
By Reformed, we mean that we are connected to the teachings of the historic church and the doctrinal beliefs recovered by the Reformation. These doctrinal beliefs are expressed in the <a href=”http://www.pcanet.org/general/cof_contents.htm” target=”_blank” title=”Westminster Confession of Faith on pcanet.org”>Westminster Confession of Faith with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms. All officers of Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church must personally subscribe to and uphold the teachings of the Westminster Confession of Faith.
By Presbyterian we describe our representative form of church government. Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church is governed by a “Session” of “presbyters” (elders), elected by the members of the congregation. We are in the Southwest Presbytery within the larger Presbyterian Church in America.

<font face=”book antiqua, palatino”>Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church has been called by God to develop a community in Tucson that knows Jesus Christ and makes him known for the purpose of building up godly families. We believe that the best way to fulfill the vision God has given us at Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church is through God-centered worship, growth-oriented discipleship, gospel-oriented fellowship, gift-oriented ministry, and grace-centered evangelism.
