Senior Pastor
I'm way too young to be called "Sr." anything. Actually, I'm 60 and qualify for discount coffee at McDonalds so maybe I do qualify. But my wife--the love of my life--and my kids keep me feeling young. I try to stay somewhat in shape (round is a shape, right?) by cycling, hiking and hitting the gym as often as my schedule allows.
You'll usually find the radio in my car set to 70's and 80's classic rock or sports talk radio and I am part of a rare breed: an Arizona Cardinals fan.
If you stop by the house, you'll get to enjoy my wife's great cooking, a nice glass of wine, and a relaxing evening talking about life, theology and, of course, sports. Dutch is our massive but loveable pit bull mix who will make you feel right at home after giving you the "sniff".
I love teaching about the grace of God and how the gospel transforms lives. Given my counseling background, I love doing that one-on-one, in small groups, or "counseling" from the pulpit.
Favorite quote? I don't know who said it, but it makes a lot of sense to me: "The hardest thing about life is that it is so daily." Thank God for his remedy: "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lam. 3:22, 23
