Main Point: Take comfort! The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed. And he does it in the person of Jesus Christ!

I. God is a God of vengeance (1–6, 8)

      A. God is not a comfort for those who oppose him.

      B. Turn to God and repent of your opposition.

II. God is a God of comfort and refuge (7)

Questions to consider: How have you seen God act jealously for your care and protect you from your enemies? How has he taken vengeance on your behalf? Do you trust Christ’s work of vanquishing your foes? Take comfort! He has overcome!
